our £600 crowdsourcing project up and running – we did it! – we raised more!!

*update* – on the first day we got to £125 and had a big £100 donation from lovefre.sh who we love very much.

quicklink | please donate, even just a £10

do check out the rewards for promotion – remember – 24/7 streamingadvert‘ for those that donate £100 and you get the benefits of the £10+£25+£50 offerings – it’s a deal, it’s a steal – it’s a sale of the f’** century!

people who follow what i do will know that most of the content i make in the social media realm i do for free so it is very rare that i ask for money for anything at all when it comes to the creation of social media output unless it is for a brand, product or service that will be used as part of promotional material.

my social media campaign managers in the field have been amazing to support our fibrecamp project so far with products and services and we could not be more than happy on that score – really having people investing in you with their time and equipment is so empowering as you shape out the offering and get the word out.

one of the things we are falling short on thou is the ability to build up a block of money for the next level of equipment we need in the studio to take the streaming studio to that 24/7 level and allow us to do remote administration when we are out on work (basically so potential clients can utilize the space when we are not there – book in, have one person monitor the space/remotely) – we desperately need a mac mini to be able to do this.

the box will become our streaming, camera, stable platform to allow us to run the HD cameras 24/7 of the studio space – we already have the cameras from logitech to do this but are struggling to have the infrastructure to connect up all the cameras.

we are looking for £600 in the hope that people will see the value of the studio and the media making that i am doing in the local nottingham area.

perks of donating

it’s quite simple really – we have four offerings.

£10 – link back on the http://fibreca.mp website (traffic  through 2011)
£25 – same as above + 15 minute time slot for video at @fibrecamp
£50 – same as above packages + free social media assessment
£100 – same as above packages + scrolling advert in 24/7 videostream

can you help? – we only need to raise the £600 and we have an offer of a unit from krcs in nottingham – an independent family apple reseller in nottingham.

*update*
we could go for a cheaper machine but it really needs to be low power – the mac mini is the worlds best at 10/14watts of power usage – we need to do some testing what a HD camera makes it do when it’s streaming all the time.  other machines are just not up to the task.

*double update*
it got funded – thank you so much guys!!! :)
